Overview
This two-day program focuses on the assessment and evaluation of sexual offenders, including §19.2-300 pre-sentencing evaluations and §37.2-904 assessment of Sexually Violent Predators (SVP).
The training examines the legal foundation, research concerning different types of sexual offenders, diagnoses of clinical paraphilic disorders, specialized assessment techniques, amenability to treatment, risk assessment, instrumentation for use with this particular population, and ethics in forensic practice.
