The Institute makes several different comprehensive documents available to the public, including the peer-reviewed journal Developments in Mental Health Law for mental health professionals and attorneys wishing to stay informed of the current legislative environment and the Virginia Directory of Mental Health Professionals with Training in Forensic Evaluation for attorneys and others needing to find forensic experts.
The Institute has produced a CD-ROM tutorial titled "The Kid in Trouble: Issues of Development, Diagnosis, Treatment and Risk."
The Institute also researches and writes policy reports to government agencies concerned with setting state policy. Members of the Institute also provide consulting services on public policy issues.
