The PRA Category 1 Award credits or Continuing Education Units (CEU) offered through the Institute of Law,
Psychiatry & Public Policy (ILPPP) accreditation with the University of Virginia School of Medicine, or the
contact hours approved under ILPPP’s accreditation with the American Psychological Association, may be of
interest to social workers, counselors, and other professionals. Please review the Continuing Education
website pages for Physicians, and for Psychologists, to find more information.
Additionally, ILPPP may seek special continuing education accreditations, such as with the National Association
of Social Workers, or the National Board for Certified Counselors, and other associations that provide specialty
accreditation for Continuing Education. Please advise ILPPP of your interest in specialty accreditation at
least three months ahead of the program of your interest, and include references to the contact information
for the agency providing the specialty CE. Additional fees will be charged reflecting the costs of acquiring
specialty accreditation.
