Program Description 

Saturday UnProgram (February 25, 2012): Learn from the experiences of your colleagues and share your own experiences at this day of UnProgram Sessions! Participate in a variety of small group discussions, each facilitated by an experienced practitioner, on hot topics in Elder Law and Special Needs issues, including substantive issues, practice management, and current technology.  New this year: "Beginner Track," with topics specially geared to those new to Elder Law.  The VAELA UnProgram 2012 is coordinated by staff at the University of Virginia's Institute of Law, Psychiatry and Public Policy.

A block of rooms is being held at The Boar’s Head Inn, 200 Ednam Drive, Charlottesville, VA 22903, for Thursday, February 23, 2012-Saturday, February 25, 2012.  The conference rate is $150/night (plus tax) for single rooms, and available through Tuesday, January 24, 2012.  To reserve a room at the conference rate contact Reservations at The Boar's Head Inn, (434) 296-2181, and reference the VAELA UnProgram 2012. 

Applying for Registration and Payment Procedure

To begin the registration process for the Saturday, February 25 session, please click on the “Find Registration Fee and/or Apply for Program” button in the upper right hand of this webpage.  You must create an account in order to register.  (Note: when creating an account, you must select from the four VAELA options in the drop-down menu under "Primary Employer." The email address you will enter to create your account will not be used for any purposes beyond communicating to you information about the VAELA UnProgram.)

After creating your account you will be returned to the program description page; click "complete application" button in upper right hand of webpage. You immediately will receive an email from ILPPP confirming receipt of your registration. Within 24 hours you will receive a second email from ILPPP containing a link which when clicked provides payment instructions. You may then proceed with online payment by credit card, or print your invoice to submit your check by mail. Please register early, since attendance is limited!

Continuing Education Certification

Due to the unusual format of the UnProgram, not all sessions will qualify for Virginia CLE credit.  We anticipate receiving CLE credits for most of the Saturday sessions, and will apply for the maximum amount of CLE credit for all programming offered.  The amount of CLE credit each attendee may claim will vary based upon actual attendance.  (Each prior VAELA UnProgram received approval from the VSB for CLE credits.)

Cost

VAELA Non-Members, Saturday Session Only:

     Non-Member Attorneys:  $300.00 (after 2/18/12 $350.00)

     Non-Member Law Students: $75.00 (after 2/18/12 $100.00)
